We are currently seeking a seasoned EHS Lead to take ownership of all health, safety, and environmental operations on a flagship hyperscale data centre project in Norway.
This is more than a safety role — it’s a chance to embed best-in-class EHS practices into one of Europe’s most innovative mission-critical builds. You’ll be part of a high-performing, forward-thinking team with an uncompromising commitment to safety, quality, and technical excellence.
The Role:
Lead the implementation and ongoing development of EHS systems and policies across the full project lifecycle
Foster a culture of proactive, preventative safety among all teams and subcontractors on-site
Conduct risk assessments, inspections, audits, and investigations to the highest industry standards
Ensure full compliance with all relevant local and EU health, safety, and environmental regulations
Deliver daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to operational staff
Liaise with project leadership, client reps, and local authorities to ensure seamless communication
Champion a "safety in design" approach alongside QA/QC, construction, and commissioning teams
What We’re Looking For:
NEBOSH or equivalent EHS certification is essential; degree-level qualifications a strong plus
5+ years' experience in a senior EHS role on major construction or infrastructure projects
Strong working knowledge of Nordic/EU HSE legislation and international best practices
Background in mission-critical environments (e.g., data centres, pharma, semiconductor) highly desirable
Proven leadership capability, confident in driving standards and influencing behaviour across teams
Excellent communication skills; English fluency is a must, Nordic language skills a bonus
Based in or willing to relocate to Norway – full relocation and local support provided
What’s on Offer:
€115,000 – €120,000 base salary
Accommodation and full rotation/travel package
Permanent position on a high-value, technically complex build
Long-term progression within a rapidly expanding contractor in a booming sector
Work within a driven, professional team focused on delivering world-class outcomes in safety and execution
